Invite me to your wedding or civil partnership and I'll mingle with your guests, drawing quick (4 min) caricatures, creating a buzz, breaking the ice and filling those wedding lulls with laughter. I'm professional, inobtrusive, stylish, charming and highly entertaining.
I've been entertaining at weddings since 1991 and in my experience weddings can differ greatly in format, especially civil partnerships, but as a general rule there are usually two wedding lulls to fill on the big day;
1st LULL: Immediately after the wedding ceremony, the drinks reception, when guests are enjoying a glass of Pimms and photos are being taken on the lawn. I mingle with the guests, help break the ice by drawing caricatures and keep them entertained while the happy couple are busy with photos.
I usually endeavour to draw the entire head table (immediate family, Ushers, Bridesmaids etc) before the line-up for the Wedding Breakfast. The button holes and big hats are a usual give away, but a few pointers from the Ushers can help.
The Wedding Breakfast is always busy and needs no other wedding entertainment than the speeches.
2nd LULL: Following the meal, waistcoats are unbuttoned and guests are usually ushered into the bar area, as the main venue is transformed for the evening's festivities. This provides the next wedding lull and thats where I can step in and keep your guests entertained.
I would normally expect to perform for upto 2 hours in the afternoon or 2 - 3 hours in the early evening. All I need in order to work is adequate lighting, please bare this in mind if looking at an evening booking or a marquee.
Remember, its a spectator event; each 4 minute drawing captivates and entertains a crowd, I can entertain upto 60 people per hour and the buzz goes on long after I'm gone. That's a lot of happy faces.

To hire me for either wedding lull, you simply pay for my time and all the caricatures are given out FREE of charge, 12 - 15 caricatures each hour; guaranteed to entertain ALL onlookers. The product is a black & white caricature on large A3 paper (30 x 42cm) presented in a plastic sleeve which can be rolled up or displayed with pride
and no fear of wine spillage! Don't worry, I promise not to offend as I only draw willing subjects, with a sense of humour. Your wedding guests will love their caricature mementoes and their laughter will echo in your memories. I promise. Upto 50 happy couples each year will testify to that.
You can hire me for a two or three hour wedding slot, maybe the deluxe all-day entertainment package, my price includes all drawings, all expenses and I try to cater for most budgets. I cover most areas of the UK.

Wedding Entertainment Packages
A) First Lull - pre-meal, upto 2 hours
B) Second Lull - post-meal, 2 or 3 hours
C) Both Lulls - 2 hours, meal break then 2 hours (package includes meal for George)
Prices start at £300 for local weddings (Leicester), all areas covered.

Note: George is central England based so weddings in Wales, Scotland, Cornwall, the extremeties (and outside UK) will require travel & possible overnight stay to be covered.

When comparing prices of Artists' services, beware of underpricing; A low fee* can be an indication of poor quality or reliability and such traders often let clients down when offered a more lucrative booking on your wedding day.
Don't gamble with the biggest day of your life, book the BEST for your guests. With over 19 years of wedding experience, George NEVER disappoints and leaves you wanting more... not with indigestion.
*Don't be fooled into paying a low fee, only to find the 'Artist' then charges your guests per drawing, like a Street Trader!
